New standard for large components
The new CHIRON FZ/DZ 25 machines will make their world premiere at EMO. They are used for highly productive machining of complex, large volume structural components for the automotive and aerospace industries. With the new machining centers, CHIRON is achieving a combination of productivity, precision and flexibility that has never before been seen in this class. With a spindle distance of 800 millimeters, the presented DZ 25 P five axis is predestined for double-spindle machining of aluminum structural components. An unbeatable advantage with large workpieces: It is operated and loaded on separate sides, which allows ideal access to the work area and a good insight into the machining process. Greater accuracy is ensured by the spindles which can be moved independently of each other in the X and Z direction. The 25 series also only requires a small amount of floor space thanks to its compact design. Its optimal dynamics make it a compelling offering in this competitive environment. CHIRON will present the brand new DZ 25 P five axis with a pallet changer in the interactive showroom on its exhibition stand. The company invites to Tuttlingen for individual live presentations.

Automatic machining of complex workpieces
Thanks to the combination of the CHIRON FZ 16 S five axis with the new VariocellPallet automation solution, small batch sizes and complex workpieces can be machined fully automatically and, thus, in a highly flexible way. VariocellPallet enables different raw parts to be clamped on a rotary indexing table with up to five, eight or ten pallets. The handling system supplies raw part after raw part to the FZ 16 S five axis machining center and removes the finished workpieces together with the pallet. If a pallet is being machined, the next pallet can be loaded simultaneously. Another advantage of VariocellPallet is flexible access to the machining center for the operator: The motor-driven transfer trolley can be moved away from the machine.

Complete future-oriented machining of hard-to-machine workpieces
Since September 2018, STAMA has been offering new machining centers for 6-side milling and turning in one set-up in the form of the MT 733 series. Its strength is complete machining of complex components and hard-to-machine materials. The MT 733 one plus with direct linear drive in the Y axis (option) will celebrate its world premiere at EMO – live in action. Like all models in the MT 733 series, it is also designed as a fix portal. The cutting process therefore becomes more stable from static, dynamic and thermal aspects. The Galaxie® drive system in the B axes bolsters this effect with its extreme power density, stiffness and positioning precision. This leads to highly dynamic and highly accurate milling/turning and drilling operations, with 5 axes simultaneously and with integrated automation. In other words, ideal conditions for a successful first part-good part strategy.
