Turning off the bar: Autonomous and multifunctional
The CHIRON 715 Series enables short lead times and high level of autonomy thanks to six-sided complete machining.
The CHIRON 715 Series is fitted with a directly driven torque swivel head, optimized for five-axis simultaneously machining.
At the OPEN HOUSE ONLINE the new 715 Series celebrated its global debut, making a fantastic addition to the CHIRON Group's machining portfolio.
The OPEN HOUSE ONLINE 2021 of the CHIRON Group was the first time the new 715 Series was seen in action, demonstrating autonomous machining on all six sides. Developed based on the trusted bar machining centers, the CHIRON FZ 08 S mill turn precision+ and the STAMA MT 733, the new machining center fits perfectly into the CHIRON Group portfolio. Thanks to its unique combination of speed and precision, the 715 Series is perfect for very demanding complete machining tasks in the medical technology, aviation and aerospace, energy, and automotive industries.
Flawless continuous machining process
Two versions of the machining center are available and can be tailored and configured in a variety of ways. The two types of machine, the CHIRON MT 715 and CHIRON MP 715 – MT is Mill Turn and MP is Multi Profile – encompass four expansion levels for milling and turning operations in any order. The swivel head, rotary spindle and opposing spindle enable continuous multifunctional machining on all six sides. Both ensure high reliability and quality, for example for hip stems, turbine blades, extrusions for chassis or battery storage.
The best conditions for high levels of automation
Both machines have space for 128 tools and boast integrated workpiece handling with workpiece storage. This means the machining centers fulfill all the demands for automated manufacturing of workpieces in small and medium batch sizes with additional unmanned shifts. The new machine platform is also set up to integrate digital systems from the SmartLine Portfolio.
