CHIRON Group at AMB 2026

Future Competence: Automation and Digital Manufacturing

From September 15 to 19, the CHIRON Group invites you to discover the latest solutions for tomorrow's production at AMB 2026 in Stuttgart. Under the motto "Where Automation meets Machining Excellence", the company will demonstrate how machining technology, automation and digital systems can be combined to create high-performance manufacturing solutions.

"Precision remains the foundation of successful production. However, the interplay of machining technology, automation and digital processes is increasingly becoming decisive. Our manufacturing solutions connect precisely these levels – from automated production cells to integrated order control and modular machine platforms," says CFO Markus Unterstein, explaining the CHIRON Group's strategic approach beyond the trade fair.

The presentation in Hall 10, Stand C52, will focus on productive concepts for individual parts, small series and variant production, especially for steel, demanding materials and complex applications. The spectrum ranges from the micromachining of small precision parts to complete machining in a continuous process to the cost-effective production of large workpieces.

Productivity, flexibility and automation

On the Micro5 XL, the CHIRON Group will demonstrate how high-precision micromachining and automation can be integrated into a productive manufacturing system within a very compact footprint. Two variants will be presented: a Variocell PALLET connected to the Micro5 XL for live pallet handling, and a Variocell UNO for robotic workpiece handling and additional process steps. Both automation solutions are designed for demanding applications where precision, dynamics and efficiency are equally essential.

Maximum process integration and flexibility for small and medium-sized series: that's what the MT 715 stands for. The production center combines milling, turning and additional technologies such as gear cutting or polygon turning on a single machine. Continuous machining processes from raw material to complex finished parts, reduce throughput times and handling effort while ensuring consistently high quality.

The MILL 2000 is an example of a machining center from the optimized MILL series, designed for the flexible production of large and heavy workpieces from individual parts to medium-sized series. The new, modular machine concept enables an even more targeted configuration for each production scenario. The wear-free torque swivel head ensures consistently high dynamics and precision. Standardized assemblies also offer advantages in terms of delivery times, spare parts supply and maintenance.

For cost-effective variant production, the CHIRON Group will showcase an FZ 16 S five axis with an optimized Variocell PALLET. With 26 pallets, the automation solution now offers a high degree of flexibility for changing workpieces and orders. Also on display live: an FZ 19 S five axis with a new, in-house developed pallet changer. The interchangeable system can handle two or three pallets for single-spindle machines, while 2 × 2 or 3 × 2 pallet configurations are available for double-spindle machines. The freely accessible and retrofittable solution supports the machining of large and complex workpieces and enables long autonomous machine running times with high flexibility and productivity in a compact space.

Control order management simply, intelligently and digitally

The CHIRON Group is expanding its SmartLine portfolio with a new module for intelligent production order and automation solutions. The system supports autonomous and flexible manufacturing concepts, especially for small batch sizes, and will be integrated into all manufacturing solutions running live at AMB 2026.

In addition, the CHIRON Group will provide information on its expertise across the entire manufacturing process – from individual automation and turnkey solutions to services for long-term high productivity and machine availability.

In addition to the exhibits, the "Interactive Showroom" offers an overview of the entire portfolio. Among other highlights, CHIRON Group experts will advise visitors on suitable concepts for 5-axis machining – from the Micro5 for intricate precision parts to the DZ 22 W five axis for cost-effective complete machining in series production. They will also explain why the potential of this manufacturing technology is best realized through an integrated overall system that combines the machine, process, automation and quality assurance.

The CHIRON Group looks forward to meeting visitors at AMB 2026 to discuss specific projects, new manufacturing requirements, and the opportunities offered by productive, automated, and digital manufacturing.
